"Statistics & Decision Making" Selected for the 6th Time as a "China Core Journal of Science and Technology"

On December 29, 2022, the "2022 China Science and Technology Paper Statistics Report Release Conference," hosted by the China Science and Technology Information Institute, was held as an online event. The conference unveiled the latest statistics on Chinese scientific papers, including the China Science and Technology Journal Citation Reports, the Evaluation Results of China's Core Science and Technology Journals, the China Excellent Paper Production Report, the Leading-edge 5000 Initiative, the Research Institution Innovation and Development Report, and the Survey on International Journal Citation Trends in China.

Since 1987, the China Science and Technology Information Institute has been responsible for conducting statistical analyses of scientific and technological papers published by Chinese researchers both domestically and internationally. Each year, it regularly releases a comprehensive annual report on China’s scientific paper output, which is further expanded to include statistical analyses of China’s performance in areas such as scientific journals, patent production, and academic book publishing. The resulting macro-level statistical data are incorporated into the "China Statistical Yearbook of Science and Technology," compiled jointly by the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Science and Technology. These robust research findings are widely recognized and actively utilized by both science and technology management agencies and the academic community.

According to the 2022 "China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report," a total of 2,126 Chinese journals in the natural sciences and 397 journals in the social sciences were indexed in 2022. "Statistics & Decision," which was first included in 2017, has now been recognized for the sixth time this year as one of the "2022 China Core Journals of Science and Technology."
