"Statistics & Decision-Making": Key Topics and Submission Guidelines for 2023

In 2023, the journal *Statistics & Decision* will focus its thematic issues on the new ideas and significant insights introduced in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The journal will emphasize in-depth research and interpretation of the new arrangements and requirements outlined at the Congress, employing statistical methods and data to explore pressing and challenging issues in economic and social development—from both statistical theory and practical perspectives. We also encourage innovation in statistical methodologies and ongoing explorations in statistical practice. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that align with the following key themes and submission guidelines.

2. Submission Guidelines
1. The paper must adhere to the correct political and value orientations, emphasizing problem awareness and academic innovation. It should align with statistical principles and empirical research methodologies, while also fitting the journal’s positioning and editorial style.
2. Adhere to academic ethics and standards. The similarity index (total plagiarism rate) on CNKI must not exceed 10%. Manuscripts already indexed in databases will be considered academically dishonest and will therefore not be accepted.
3. Papers should generally be around 15,000 words in length, accompanied by an extended English abstract. The article must follow the journal’s established formatting guidelines. Submissions must be prepared in Word format; PDF files will not be accepted. Please include your name, institutional affiliation, a brief author biography, and contact information with your submission. Anonymous submissions will be considered invalid.
4. Authors should submit their manuscripts either through the "Statistics & Decision" submission system (https://tjjc.cbpt.cnki.net) or via email at tjyjc@vip.163.com—choose one method only, and please do not submit to both.
5. The review process for this journal typically takes three months. Authors can check the acceptance status by logging into the journal’s official website or its WeChat public account.
