Kernel Engineer

Job Description:

1. Maintenance and upgrade work on the Linux kernel for Kuaishou's internal servers;

2. Perform performance tuning of the Linux kernel tailored to the specific characteristics of the service;

3. Research and application of new kernel technologies;

4. Research and improvement of container-related technologies.

Job requirements:

1. Proficient in the Linux kernel, with hands-on experience reading the source code of at least one of its major modules: memory management, the I/O subsystem, or the network subsystem.

2. Familiar with C programming on the Linux platform, proficient in multi-process and multi-threaded programming, and experienced in socket programming.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passionate drive to tackle even the most challenging issues;

4. Priority will be given to contributions of patches to the open-source kernel community;

5. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, combined with a meticulous work ethic and a commitment to high-quality standards;

6. Eager to learn new knowledge, hands-on, and highly motivated.
